THORNTON, JOHN DONALD, 62 , Army veteran and retired mechanic, passed away on August 4, 2023 at his home with his son by his side. John was born on September 20, 1960 in El Centro, CA to Donald Earl and Marie Ann {Holtzer} Thornton. John loved fishing and recently found out he was a direct decendant of Daniel Boone.

John is survived by his son Cody Thornton; mother Marie Blakeley; brother Jason Thornton and Kyle Thornton; sister Andrea Aldridge and Donna Taylor; sister in law Hoa-Julie Blakeley; 4 grandchildren and many other family and friends.
