Jerry L. Reiserer, 96, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at home in Rose Hill, KS.
Heritage Funeral Home, Andover KS Graveside service Monday, July 6, 2026, 2:00 PM at Leon Cemetery (SE Bluestem and US 400). Memorial service will follow at Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum at 601 W. 7th, Augusta, KS 3:30-6:00PM.
Jerry was born in Leon, KS on February 22, 1930. He graduated from Leon High School, attended Butler Community College on an athletic scholarship, before joining the US Marine Corps to represent their track team and serve in Korea as part of the elite First Floating Bridge Company. He returned to Kansas, went back to college at Wichita State on a track scholarship and participated in the Kansas Relays Decathlon at the University of Kansas. After college he joined his father's business as a fourth generation water well driller. He continued drilling until he was 90 years old. His legacy continues with the next two generations still operating Reiserer Well Drilling making it six generations strong. He continued participating in track and field events in the Senior Games until he was 94.
He is survived by daughter, Gina Morgan (Ron) of Rose Hill, KS, son Randall Reiserer of Lobelville, TN, son Ronald Reiserer (Gilma) of Nashville, TN, grandchildren Bryan Morgan (Casey), Oak Ward, Daniel Reiserer Adunas, Dakota Morgan, Blaizon Reiserer, Arianna Reiserer, Colton Morgan, Terra Reiserer Adunas, and great-grandson Eldon Morgan.
He was truly legendary...his stories and signature jokes will be missed, but not forgotten.
