Jeffrey "Jeff"
Arlen Page
September 14, 1968 — February 13, 2022
Andover
PAGE, JEFFREY ARLEN "JEFF" , 53, passed away on February 13, 2022, at Via Christi St. Joseph after a battle with an illness for several months. Jeff was born on September 14, 1968, in Houston, TX to Herb and Carol (Freund) Page. He grew up in Conway Springs where he graduated from high school, class of 1987, playing football and working with his father. At 18 he began to venture out on his own and by age 20, he was in business for himself with ownership of Jeff Page Masonry. Jeff had an amazing work ethic and moral value system, which he was sure to instill within his children and many others who were fortunate to know him. At age 19 he met Christy and they married in May of 1990. Jeff was a true Patriarch and provider. His family was most important to him; so much so, he built his house and then began building his family's homes within proximity so they could be close to him and later he would have his grandchildren nearby. Planning the holidays and family get-togethers were Jeff's specialty and he explained if he "didn't do it, it wouldn't get done". He was a huge fan of John Wayne and AC/DC. He especially loved coaching his boys' various sports teams and made certain they had the best equipment to play with. Watching, traveling with his father Herb, and coaching his children in various sport and school events was Jeff's favorite thing to do and boxing was a passion that he handed down to many of his children. The Fourth of July was his favorite holiday and traditionally a blowout bash with a lot of blowing stuff up; even a truck one year! The Fourth also gave him the opportunity to indulge in his other passions, cooking and grilling, which he did often and in great amounts. Whether it was smoking up some meat for feeding the homeless because he wanted to give food away, or just grilling and cooking for his family and friends; he liked to say, "The only thing somebody could cook better than me is something I haven't cooked yet". In recent years, he ventured into restaurant ownership and took pride in demonstrating his skills to feed customers from all over Butler County. A couple of Jeff's many hobbies were raising his cows on the farm (and feeding them an occasional cherry pie) and also being a "Collector of Fine Things" as he described. These fine things were sometimes baseball cards, shoes, trucks and various novelties that caught Jeff's interest. Jeff was an excellent judge of character and was typically correct in his assessments of people. His compassion for others encouraged a frequent extension of kindness and often compelled him to share his talents with his kids' friends who would stay and occasionally even become part of the family. He was known for his selflessness by giving to others what he could share, even if it was his last and without the expectation of anything in return. Jeff was a mountain of a man who leaves a lasting legacy and will be deeply missed by many.
Survivors include Jeff's beloved wife Christy; children Jerrod (Danielle), Jeffrey (Whitney), Jake (Dawn), Jeremiah, Jay (Sarah) and Hailie Princess Marie Page (whom Jeff named personally); grandchildren Carter, Ceaton, Kendal, Sammy, Tuff, Khloee, Lane, Navy, Jeremiah, Bradley Jay, Emily and Naya; parents Herb and Carol; siblings Shelley, John and Jarrod; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his brother Kevin, sisters Stacey and Dawn Marie, and daughter-in-law Damen.
