MUNINGER, JAMIE LOU , 62, of Independence, joined her heavenly family on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in El Dorado after battling Covid. She was currently residing in El Dorado at Heritage House to be near her sister and best friend, Leigh Ann Jarvais. Jamie was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on April 7, 1959 to James and Marilyn Muninger. She attended school in Independence and was married to Daniel Merrifield, until he passed away, and later spent many years with her life partner Jim Quisenberry. Jamie had a great passion for cooking and enjoyed sharing her homestyle cooking with others. Feeding people was her way of giving back. She was a manager of the canteen at Dana Manufacturing in Independence for several years. Jamie was very down to earth and hospitable and a very kind, giving and compassionate spirit and personality. Through some very difficult times in Jamie's life she became very involved with Narcotics Anonymous.

Jamie is survived by her only sibling, sister Leigh Ann Jarvais; her life partner Jim Quisenberry; niece Amanda Corbin; one aunt and thirty living cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Marilyn, and her spouse Dan Merrifield.

Celebration of Life services will be announced at a later time.
