LUCE, JAMES "JIM" LLOYD, 87 , of El Dorado, KS, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Via Christi St. Francis with his loving family by his side. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 206 E. Central in El Dorado (additional parking is available on the North side of the building.)
Jim was born June 24, 1938, in Holdenville, OK, the son of Glenn and Gladys Luce. He worked for many years in the lab at Beech Aircraft. In addition to his career there, he was a farmer and rancher. He enjoyed farming most of all and took great pride in caring for his cattle. He was a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. Jim also enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Suzie Woll and Teri Allison; his son, John Luce; his grandchildren, Amy, Matt, and Jason Luce, Joey and Cassie Dickinson, Taylor Pless, and Hayley and Kyle Allison; and his great‑grandchildren, Caleb Alfaro, Elliott, Oliver, and Asher Luce, Myka, Rylan, and Myles Dickinson, Tarrin Lymas, and Jeremy, Jaxon, and Jayse Pless; along with three nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Gladys Luce; his wife, Mary Ellen Luce; his brother, Jerry Luce; and his son, Ricky Luce.
