Jack Lynn Witt Sr., was born on March 24, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas to Mildred Olive Bockleman and Paul Ely Witt Sr.
Jack grew up in Wichita, and tragically both his parents passed away when he and his older brothers were young. Their grandmother Halda Bockleman stepped up and raised the three brothers.

Jack played baseball growing up. He was a pitcher that pitched no hitters. He loved the game so much that he played softball as an adult and as a father he shared his knowledge and love of the game with his son.

Jack also frequented the skating rink where he met his soulmate Janice the couple began dating and then took a "break", this is when Jack joined the Navy in 1965.

During Jack's time in the service Jack and Janice wrote to each other and Jack even sent Janice an engagement ring. Jack returned from the Navy and he and Janice were married on September 16, 1967.

Jack and Janice had three children, Tammy Lynn Klatt, Pamela Susan Barbeau, and Jack Lynn Witt Jr. Jack loved his kids and was proud of each one of them.

Jack was a very hard worker and had a great work ethic which he passed on to each of his kids and grandkids. Jack worked at Pawnee Plastics, Boeing, and he retired from Spirit Aerosystems as a toolmaker. Jack worked hard to make sure his family's needs would be taken care of. There were even times he would work two jobs if that was what was needed.

Jack and Janice had a beautiful love story that so many looked up to. Their love, as with most relationships, was tested from time to time but they always made it through together. Jack was a loving husband and very dedicated to his wife Janice for 56 years. He called her "Sweet Pea" or "Beautiful" on a daily basis. They loved to travel together, go to the casino, and just
spend time with each other.

Jack loved fishing, hunting, coffee, chocolate covered cherries, and Cheese-Its. His favorite football team was Green Bay Packers, and on the day of his death they pulled off a win.

He loved to watch baseball and his favorite team was the Kansas City Royals and he also loved to watch the Little League World Series.

Jack was a loving father and Papa to his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He was easy-going, loved to joke and tease, and was kind to others. Jack was quiet until you spoke with him and then you would have a good conversation.

Jack was a no fuss, proud man, and one of his grandsons used to say when he was little "I wanna be a plain man just like Papa when I grow up". Jack was funny, patient and loving. His grandkids stated "Papa always tried to keep a smile on our face or at least try to keep us laughing". Jack was helpful and would often help his grandchildren with their math or he would
help them work on a car.. Jack was ticklish, especially on his feet, and his wife would get them whenever she could.

Jack passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024 with his wife and youngest daughter by his side.

Jack is preceded in death by his mom, Mildred O Bockleman- Witt , his dad Paul Eli Witt Sr., his grandmother Halda Bockelman, father-in-law Melvin Alley mother-in-law, Helen Alley, his older brothers, Paul Witt Jr.,and Robert Witt, and his grandson William "Trey" Klatt III.
