Irene Margaret Bukaty Broyles, 92, of Overland Park, Kansas, wife of the late Robert B. Broyles Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 23 rd , 2022.  She was born June 28 th , 1929, in Kansas City Kansas to Edward Francis Bukaty Sr. and Mary Margaret (Ushler) Bukaty.   Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband Robert B. Broyles Sr., and children Madonna Marie Broyles, Patrick Joseph Broyles, and Anne Karenne Broyles.  Irene is survived by her sons Robert B. Broyles Jr. (Patricia) of Towanda, Kansas, and Timothy Michael Broyles Sr. (Irene) of Prairie Village, Kansas and grandchildren Carl Broyles, Tamara Carrel (Holbert), Heather Carrel (Leon), Timothy Broyles Jr., Christopher Broyles, Patrick Broyles and Joseph Broyles, and great-grandchildren Robert Carrel and Kimberly Carrel.

Irene loves her Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Cure' of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood, Kansas.  She retired from The Marley Cooling Tower Company, where she worked in the billing department.  Irene loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her kind compassionate heart was enjoyed by all.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday, March 19th at Cure' of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd., Leawood, Kansas 66206.  A reciting of the rosary will precede the mass at 9:30.  Interment will be with her husband at 1:30 Monday, March 21st at Calvary Cemetery, 610 S Vassar, Wichita, Kansas 67218.  In lieu of flowers, Irene requests contributions to EWTN, the Catholic Eternal Word Television Network.
