COX, GERALD GUY, 93, Geologist and Army Veteran, passed away on June 23, 2019 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita. Gerald was born in Jackson, Michigan on September 9, 1925 to Guy and Adele (Zumack) Cox. Gerald attended North High School and played football while there. He married Virginia Flowers and they had two daughters. Gerald loved roses, BBQ and smoking meat. He was very athletic and even spent time as a lifeguard. He was loved by his family and will be remembered as a wonderful father and husband. Gerald and Virginia were members of Grace Presbyterian Church in Wichita.

G erald is survived by his loving wife Virginia; daughters Ginny Johnson (Brad) and Janet Greider (Stephen Ellis); siblings Audree Riggs, Nadine Deardorff and Bev Cox (Earlene); grandchildren Sarah Johnson, Aaron Blaser, Lauren Riddle, Adrienne English and many other family and friends.
