CARPENTER, GEORGIANA JEWEL (GEORGIE) , passed away on December 7, 2020 in Andover. Georgiana was born on November 1, 1928 in Alta Vista, KS to Robert A. and Hazel "Hauserman" Orton. She married William E. "Bill" Carpenter, who preceded her in death. For many years Georgiana worked in the accounting department at Cessna. Georgiana was an avid quilter, loved music and enjoyed playing her piano. She stressed the importance of education and learning and was a longtime Sunday School Teacher. She and Bill owned a farm and enjoyed wa l king outdoors and being with animals; they had a passion for her too as many showed up at their house over the years. She was always current with news, weather reports, and the farm market . She enjoyed collecting and shopping for various antiques, including lampshades that she would redesign and complete with beadwork. Her greatest love was her family. S he will be loved and missed as a wonderful and supportive mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

G eorgiana is survived by her daughters Dr. Susan Parsons and Carol Hannon(Scott); siblings Roberta Hodgson and Richard "Dick" Orton(Linda); grandchildren Ryan Parsons(fiance Chelsea Tafoya), Chris Hannon(Alicia) and Amanda Hannon; great grandson Alex Evans and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and brother Ronald Orton.

A t Mrs. Carpenter's request, she is being cremated and a private inurnment will be held later at Alta Vista Cemetery.
