MCCALLA, FRANCES LOUISE, 91 , Wichita Public School Librarian, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 10, 1926 in Grant City, MO to Roy and Maude "Rinehart" Marler. Frances married Eugene H. McCalla in Grant City, MO on June 17, 1947 and they spent the next 70 years together. Frances had a Master's Degree in Library Sciences and was a member of the East Heights United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, listening to Opera, embroidery and especially sewing; staying up late many times to make special dresses for her daughters.

F rances is survived by her husband Eugene; daughters Loucinda McCalla, Kathleen McCalla Augustini and Lou McCalla; 4 grandchildren Jeremiah Unruh, Jennifer Unruh, Aaron DeHaven and Kyle DeHaven; one great grandchild Riley DeHaven and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

F amily will gather for visitation with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home, 502 W. Central Ave., Andover, KS. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home, 200 N Front St, Grant City, MO 64456 and Frances will be buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Blockton, Iowa.
