Eugene "Gene" Aaron Diller of Andover Kansas, son of Lloyd Jacob and Bonnie Joy Diller, passed away peacefully from this earth on May 17th, 2025.

Gene was born on July 21st, 1938 in Wynnewood Oklahoma. From the time he was young, Gene had to work hard to help support his family. His work ethic was remarkably strong, and even as he got older, his strong work ethic never waned. He set a wonderful example of his dedication and perseverance for his family, and it was greatly admired. He began working in a bakery at the age of 13, and then moved on to his own paper route. He also worked at a grocery store, all while still in High School. After High School, he joined the Harvest, and continued to work hard, supporting his family. He then married Lanora Irene Davis, who survives him. They moved together to Kansas in the 1950's, eventually settling in Andover.  Eugene and Lanora had 4 children. LaGena, Lisa, Martin and Christopher. They also helped to foster over 100 different children over the years, and they enjoyed a very busy, but happy family life together. Gene took a job in Aircraft, and spent over 40 years working at Beech, in a very successful career.  Gene also loved working in his garden, which kept their plates full of fresh fruits and vegetables over many, many years. He also loved collecting watches, and antique cars which he loved to tinker with, and rebuild. As his grandchildren came into his life, he loved watching them participate in all different types of sports, recitals, and graduation ceremonies. In the winter, Gene and Lanora loved spending their time in San Antonio, at Travelers World RV Park, where they reunited with friends and family every winter. Gene also enjoyed spending time at his two farms, and took a lot of pride in sharing them with his family.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Harold and Leatrice (Pat), his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Pat and Tom Adams, and his son-in-law Bob Girdler. Gene is survived by his wife Lanora, his sister Ruby, his children LaGena (Joel), Martin (Cynthia), Lisa, Christopher (Heidi), Grandchildren Joseph, Catherine, Charles Andrew, Brenna, Sutton, Kendall, Tagen and Jessa.

Gene was known and loved by many people, and in his death, he will be mourned and missed by just as many. His family is very grateful for the outpouring of love and support received by numerous friends and loved ones. And we find comfort in knowing Gene is enjoying eternal rest and peace, with his Savior Jesus.

The Memorial Service for Gene will be held on June 7th at 12pm, at Faith Baptist Church in Andover Kansas, located at 417 W Central Ave.
