HASKINS, EMMILYN ANN, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024 at the age of 58. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Thomas Brandt and Sharon Courrege, Emmilyn's journey through life was marked by her creativity and unique spirit.

After leaving Colorado Springs for the Wichita area, Emmilyn married James Ray Haskins, with whom she built a beautiful family. Embracing the role of homemaker, Emmilyn dedicated herself to raising her children. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as her creativity made a positive impact in her community.

Emmilyn was known for her artistic talents, particularly her elaborate sidewalk chalk art that brought joy and wonder to the children in her neighborhood. Halloween was a special time for her, as she delighted in creating spooky encounters that thrilled the local children. Though she was naturally reserved, Emmilyn's warmth and kindness shone through in her later years.

Her earthy, spiritual, and natural approach to life made her a unique and endearing presence to all who knew her. She had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed attending rock concerts. However, her greatest joy came from helping to raise her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her love and guidance have left a lasting mark on their hearts.
Emmilyn is survived by her loving daughters, Michele Gerdsen (Tom), Holly Haskins, and Amanda Wyrick (Kanin). She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren: Gwen, Violet, Charlotte, Olivia, and Kovan. Her husband, James Ray Haskins, preceded her in death.

Emmilyn's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
