Harper, Eloyce Loraine, 91, passed away in Andover on September 14, 2022.

E loyce was born to John and Sadie (Christison) Lear on July 5, 1931 in Wichita, Kansas. Sher grew up there and attended East High School. Later, while attending the University of Kansas, she met Louis Harper at an "ugly man" dance, and they were married on September 3, 1950. In 1957, the young couple moved to California where they lived for for the next 39 years. During that time, they had one son, Louis Jr. in 1960, and one daughter, Lou Ann, in 1965. In 1996, Louis and Eloyce returned to the Wichita area, settling on the family acreage. Eloyce then worked for awhile at J.C. Penny before the couple retired around 2000.

E loyce enjoyed traveling, art, visiting family and life in general. She had a compassionate nature, often helping those around her when needed. She was an upbeat and very sociable person and was involved with various social groups and clubs. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
