Duane Arlen Crossman, 69, returned to his heavenly home on April 8, 2020 after a valiant battle with Cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

D uane was born to the late Harry and Viola Mae (Downing) Crossman a Railroad Worker and Homemaker  respectively, in Milton, Kansas on September 22, 1950. He attended grade school in Milton until 5 th grade, where he then attended and graduated from Argonia High School in 1968.

D uane was blessed with a large God Loving Beautiful Family. Preceded to the gates of Heaven by his parents, Harry and Viola Mae Crossman, His Brothers, Donald "Don" Crossman and Harry Jennings Crossman Jr., "Bud", His Sister-In-Laws, Shirley Crossman and Rosa "Rose" Crossman and his Brother-In-Law, Bobby "Bob" Oller, and his Great-Grandson, GikAdhyn Crossman.

D uane is survived by his Daughter Shannon Crossman-Williams and Son Chad Crossman. His siblings, Harriet Oller, Darrell Crossman and Wife Barbara, Norman "Dean" Crossman and Wife Dianne, James "Jim" Crossman, Jack Crossman and Wife Murla, Linda Sexton and Husband Don, Dwight Crossman and the baby of the family, Larry Crossman and his Sister in law, Gloria Crossman. His Fiancée, Maria "Mary" Elena Gonzalez.

Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other Family and many, many friends. Including his Fur Babies and the very core of his being, his precious baby girl Sophie, his 3-year-old Maltese and his 12- year- old Siamese Fat Cat, Charlie.

D uane was drafted in the Army and served 2 years as a cook. He became a Chef, and this was truly his passion in life. Duane and Mary would make baked goods as Christmas baskets every year for their friends and her family. Duane spent over 25 years in El Paso, Texas and was very well known for his brownies and big heart. He had a very large family there that will deeply miss him and cherish many, many beautiful memories.

D uane was someone who loved to help people. He had an amazing sense of humor and was talented in many fashions. One of the most beautiful memories of Duane from his Daughter Shannon was his infectious smile. She said it could always light up a room. There was also a story of someone killing 155 chickens, kids being tied to a tree, driving lessons being pulled by the car in front of you, because you weren't supposed to be driving, sparing with each other and bragging about who hit who, smoking in the house while Mom & Dad were gone, loving knowing only one cuss word in Spanish, someone said he had a bit of a stubborn streak, but that was just a rumor. Duane every year on Thanksgiving invited some local Military to his home for the holiday because they had no family there, just one of the many examples of his beautiful heart.

D ue to the Covid- 19 there will be no services immediately. After all this ends and we are freed to return in the world, there will be a Grave side service, where Duane's ashes will be placed at the feet of his loving parents, and a potluck dinner will follow.

D ate and time will be announced.
