D onna was born to Glen and Betty (Stovall) Deaver in Canadian, Texas on July 14, 1954.
S he spent most of her childhood in Nebraska, however; and attended Newman Grove High School in Newman Grove, Nebraska. She received a Christian education at Moody College in Chicago, Illinois but returned to Nebraska, where she met and later married Dave Walling on August 31, 1974. The family relocated to the Wichita area in 1978.
D onna loved watercolor painting and was an artist for Meade Street Art Gallery for 20 years. Additionally, She was also a highly talented cake baker and decorator, also for 20 years, and won numerous awards for her abilities. Spiriually, She loved Sunday School teaching and taught first graders and young children. Donna was extremely faithful to her beliefs, making Jesus a priority, and had a heart for The Lord.
D onna was a quiet and reserved person and thought before she spoke. She was witty (nothing slipped by her) and a great listener, spending more time listening than talking.
S he is survived by her husband Dave Walling, father Glen Deaver, children James Walling and Heather Walling; and brothers Russell Deaver, James Deaver, Paul Deaver, and Stanley Deaver. She is preceded in death by her mother and brother Dennis Deaver.
S ervices will be held at GraceFirst Church, 14725 E. Harry, Wichita, KS 67230, at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 23, 2022.
