On August 20th, 2023 Donald (Don) Ray Strotkamp was received into the arms of our loving Lord and Saviour, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Don was born to Vernon and Bernice (Lea) Strotkamp on November 18th, 1953 in Marion, Kansas. Don was a proud United States Army Veteran. He graduated from Butler County Community College and worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Cessna Aircraft until
his retirement in 2010. Don was a passionate hunter, carpenter, and Republican. He loved his family fiercely, greatly impacting the lives of his four grandsons.
Donald is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary (Scott) Strotkamp, daughters Cindy Tappan (Brian) of Newton, Dawn Hacker (Mark) of Burns, special nephew Robert Brickey (Melissa) of Boss MO, grandsons Jake Gunsch, Joshua Strotkamp (Sydney), Zachary Gunsch,
Noah Hacker (Angel), granddaughter Adrianna Hacker and great-granddaughters Rylee Ray and Charlee Faye Strotkamp. He is also survived by his beloved sister-in-laws Shirley Egner and Susan Thompson and nephews Michael Strotkamp, PJ Egner, Steven Egner and Johney Strotkamp.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Memorial Fund that has been established at the Community National Bank, Burns Kansas - ℅ Mary Strotkamp.
A celebration of life will be held September 30th, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Burns Cemetery with a lunch to follow at the Burns Community Building.
