Diana Kathleen
Long
January 4, 1947 — July 21, 2020
Andover
LONG, DIANA KATHLEEN, 73 , passed away on July 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 4, 1947 in Winnfield, Louisiana to Morris and Kathleen "Temple" Burkhart. Morris served in the military and so the family moved around with him often. Diana lived in Taiwan, Texas multiple times and Orlando, FL; where she met the love of her life Ron. They were married in Nevada on May 10, 1965 and then again "Officially" on their 25th anniversary. While married to Ron; who was also in the military; Diana lived in Germany, Tucson, Fort Worth, New York and finally settled in Wichita. Diana managed a dry cleaners and a BBQ restaurant but her passion was in family outings; camping, fishing, traveling to see the sights of Kansas and many other states were a few of the outings she enjoyed. She was an avid reader who was very smart and enjoyed politics, even running a few campaigns over time but her greatest love was her children and grandchildren and spending time with them.
Diana is survived by her husband Ron; children Catherine, Ronnie and Mike; grandchildren Joshua, Katie, Tyler, Reagan, Madisyn and Parker; great grandchildren Izzy, Theo, Addyson, Wyatt and Kamilia; siblings Sherry Henderson and Mike Burkhart and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Morris and Kathleen.
