LAWRENCE, DAWSON CRAIG, 20 , passed away on September 17, 2021. Dawson was born on January 28, 2001 in Wichita to Chris and Kim Lawrence. He played football while attending Andover High School and graduated in 2020. Along the way Dawson touched a lot of hearts in school among his teachers and his coaches. He was the upbeat, Gentle Giant who was tenderhearted and had the sweetest soul. Dawson had a huge heart and compassion for everyone and every animal that stemmed from his love for Jesus. His great passion for Jesus was shown during his time at Newspring Church and their Youth Program and especially their coffee bar and talking faith with his church family there. Dawson had a great many interests and hobbies including his love of football, Ned Ledoux music, firearms and IDPA Competition Shooting. Fishing and Nascar brought Dawson great joy but his greatest love was his music and writing lyrics. He taught himself how to play drums and guitar and was an extremely gifted storyteller in his lyric writing. Spending time with his family and friends was his other great passion; especially with his dad whether that be smoking meats together or joking and teasing each other.

Dawson is survived by his father Chris Lawrence; mother Kim Lawrence; sister Amanda Hall; grandmother Carol Calvert; Uncle Joel Rader and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Craig Lawrence.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Newspring Church North Auditorium, E. 21 ^st St. N., Wichita with Pastor Mark Hoover officiating. Visitation will be held prior to service from noon until service time.
