Darlene V. Shank Hopkins-Lancaster passed away in Wichita, KS  at the age of 94 years on September 2, 2019.
She was born January 30, 1925 to Marguerite Miller and Ira Shank of Bridgeport, Kansas.
D arlene was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Kansas and worked many years for the Lincoln County ASCS office where she worked with the local county farmers and local county government.  After the death of her first husband, Darlene relocated to Salina, Kansas. She worked there as a bank secretary for several years before remarrying and relocating to New Albany, MS, where she became a member of the Church of Christ. After the death of her second husband in 2001, Darlene moved to Wichita, KS to be closer to family. She was a member of, and very active in, the Church of Christ in Wichita, KS, until failing health necessitated her moving to assisted living facilities.
D arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Leon F. Hopkins, second husband Vallen G. Lancaster, her sister Jean Parsons, brothers-in-law Gene Maher and Ira Parsons, and step-daughter Janice Lancaster. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Robert) Quigley, son Larry L. Hopkins, step-son Larry (Diane) Lancaster, sister Earlene Maher, and multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family & friends.
A private grave-side service will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11 am at Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln, KS.
