LORENSON, CRAIGERY NELS, 66 , El Dorado Ace Hardware Manager, passed away on November 30, 2022 at his home. Craigery better known as Craig was born on January 31, 1956 in Colorado Springs, CO to Nels Coleman and Jewell Darlene {Snyder} Lorenson. At the age of six, Craig's family moved to Salina where he attended school and graduated from Salina Central High School. While in school Craig joined the theater and enjoyed being a thespian even playing a part of the Wizard in The Wizard of OZ. After high school Craig's next stop was Bartlesville Wesleyan College where he earned an Associates Degree. Craig got married and had two children.

Craig worked for the Jones family for 33 years.  This started with his working in Gibsons stores in numerous locations across the Midwest.  Craig was promoted to manager and as such opened the new ACE Hardware in El Dorado. Craig loved his El Dorado community and spent lots of time supporting and promoting it and was known by many as "the Ace guy, " or Mr. Eldorado. He was a part of many organizations including Governor's One Shot Turkey Hunt, Celebration of Freedom, The Science Fair, Christmas Parade, Prairie Port Festival, National Night Out and the Ace Hardware Fishing Contest. He was active in the Kiwanas, the Elks, Leadership Butler, El Dorado Main Street and El Dorado Chamber of Commerce and was a reserve police officer. He even served as the President for Friends of the Lake and was the Good Neighbor Volunteer of the Year in 2002. Craig loved teddy bears; including one almost as big as him; and enjoyed collecting the "Ace Hardware" toys & Christmas Collections. Craig will be remembered as a quiet and reserved person that always wore a smile, loving his community and store family, always having a favorite name for  everyone.

Craig is survived by his children Jamie Lynne Lorenson and Justin Jacob Lorenson; brothers Bryan Lorenson and Vaughn Lorenson; sister Kristin Eitel;  2 grandchildren; special friend Karen Foreman; many nieces, nephews, friends including his beloved Ace Hardware family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Kathlyne Jean Spurgeon.

A memorial service will be held for Craig on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 315 W. Central Ave., El Dorado with Pastor Jordan Friesen officiating and interment will be in Walnut Valley Cemetey.
