Baker, Connie, 75, Passed away on October 29, 2021 peacefully at home with her daughter and great grandson at her bedside. Connie was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 13, 1947.

With the exception of a brief time in California and Nevada she spent her entire life in the Wichita area with the last 25 years living in rural Rose Hill, KS.  During high school she enjoyed Sock Hops and dancing. She graduated from South High School in 1965 and graduated dog grooming school in California in 1968.

She attended church regularly and loved Jesus.

Her daughter and family were very important to her.  They all enjoyed many pets and horses.

Connie was a hard worker and had her own dog grooming business for approximately 30 years.  Much of that time she also was employed in the aircraft business.

She is preceded in death by her parents Patricia and Fred Vulgamore; Sister, Mary Jan Bennett; Brother, Stanley Eugene Vulgamore; Aunt, Sally Ryan; Uncle, Leroy Combs.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly "Kim" Sockman (Bill), Grandson, Jesse Cooper(Kassie); great grandsons, Joshua Bishop and Dallas Cooper; great granddaughter, Dakota Cooper; Sister, Freida Fossum(Larry) of Hartford, SD; Brothers, David Vulgamore(Lois), Randy Vulgamore(Cathy), and Edward Vulgamore; Aunt Beatrice "Bunny" Vulgamore, niece and nephews, and many friends.

She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and will be missed by many.

There will be a celebration of life Nov 14 at 2:00PM for Connie at Victory Fellowship Church, 326 E. School St., Rose Hill, KS 67133.  There will be a small luncheon following the service.  Please RSVP by Nov 11 on Face Book "Connie Baker's Memorial Service" so that we know how much food to bring.
