LARIMER, CLEO WADE, 85, passed away peacefully August 3, 2019 at his residence in El Dorado. Graveside services will be 10 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Blankenship Cemetery, south of Rosalia.

C leo was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Claude and Deloris Larimer and later moved to Enid, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school in 1952. He worked as a deck hand on a drilling unit in the Texas oil fields and on pulling units here in the Augusta, KS area. Cleo continued to work in the oil industry for Midland Supply Company as well as Mountain Iron and Supply. Striking out on his own he started C & L Pump and Supply, servicing bottom hole pumps for oil wells until he retired. However, working in the oil industry was always second to Cleo's love of horses. He raised 28 AQHA champions in his lifetime on the Larimer ranch. He traveled miles and miles showing his horses and could certainly be classified as well-traveled in the quarterhorse competition circles.

C leo is survived by 3 children, Jeff (Dona) Larimer, of El Dorado, Julie (Terry) Conley of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Laurie Larimer of Santa Fe, New Mexico; grandchildren Lane Larimer and Anna Johnson, Lacy (Joshua) Kellerman, Zach (Melissa) McLemore, Amy (Ben) Tremper, Alex Potter, and Nickolas Razatos; 6 great grandchildren with another expected in September. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Deloris Larimer and brother O.V. Larimer.

M emorials may be may to Park Avenue Baptist Church, 1101 S. Arthur, Eldorado, KS 67042 and/or Interim Hospice, 9920 E. Harry, Wichita, KS 67207.
