Clairelyn Joyce Pfeifer (89) of Pueblo West, CO went home to be with Jesus on Feb. 22, 2023 after a short illness.  Clairelyn is preceded  by her husband, Dale, her sister Beverley Skinner, brother-in-law Marion Skinner, brothers Donavon Lyngholm, Melvin Lyngholm, her parents Harold and Violet Lyngholm, father-in-law Harold Pfeifer, mother-in-law Alice Pfeifer, brother-in-law Robert Chance and sister-in-law June Chance.  She is survived by her daughter, Susan, son, Kent (Jeannie) and grandchildren, Nathaniel and Alisa, nieces, nephews, along with many friends.

Clairelyn was born on August 4th, 1933 in southwest Nebraska, to Harold Emil and Violet Annetta Christina (Johnson) Lyngholm and was raised on the family homestead near Brownson, NE.  After graduation from high school she attended Midland College in Fremont, NE and she earned her bachelor of elementary education at Colorado State Teachers College (UNC) and taught second, third and fourth grades in Wyoming and Colorado.  Following her marriage to Dale Pfeifer, in 1959, she quit teaching to raise their children Susan and Kent, and take care of aging relatives and friends and actively volunteer in her church.  Clairelyn's joy was obvious to all she met as she loved Jesus and followed Him with her whole life.

Clairelyn's neighbors and friends always commented on her love of gardening, as she was always weeding her garden and mowing her lawn.  She was a farm girl through and through.

Anytime a friend would come by, Clairelyn would invite them in for coffee and conversation. Clairelyn exemplified a life of caring and service to others and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
