MOURNING-ROBERTSON, CARRIE ANGELA, 44, passed away at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita on April 24, 2021. Carrie was born on October 7, 1976 in Wichita to Ron Mourning and Pam Miller. The family moved to Butler county and Carrie graduated from Eureka High with her close friends, "The Four Musketeers". Carrie began working at Pizza Hut and then proceeded to get her CNA and CMA licenses and worked for most of her life as a caregiver, as a private care giver at people's homes, group homes, hospices and nursing facilities including Lakepoint nursing center. Not only was Carrie a caregiver but she was also a horse farrier and had even attended cosmetology school. Carrie met Darren while working as a CMA at the Sedgwick County Jail and they married on November 4, 2017 on the bridge near their home. A true people  person at heart Carrie never knew a stranger and would strike up conversation with anybody she met. She was a protector with a very giving heart and soul which played well into her healthcare career. Fostering children was a wonderful part of Carrie's life and she gave her all to each child in her care. Carrie enjoyed her flower and plant garden, watching birds on the bird feeders on her porch, and the quietness of lake life; she loved owls and her owl collection; but her greatest joy was family time and watching her kids sporting events.

Carrie is survived by her husband Darren; parents Ron Mourning and Pam Miller; children Kylea McArdle, Jordan Walmsley and Mollee Robertson; foster daughter Ashley Wells; grandchildren Kylen Beaman, Karson Beaman and Tregan Wakefield; her dog Whiskey; cat Mirage; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her infant son DeAngelo Walmsley; her childhood pets Elle and Swiper.
