Passed away at Reeds Cove and spent her last days with family by her side

Survived by sons and daughter-in-law's, Kevin(Lynne), Steve(Renee) and Jeff(Kristin), granddaughter Mary Abigail, grandson Konner and his wife Ann Marie, granddaughter Kayla Ann & great granddaughter Ava Jayne Knoll, Sister Mary Jinkaway, brother Lyle Van Meter and many nephews and nieces.

Born in Hutchinson, Kansas, Carol and her siblings spent their youth on the family farm in Nickerson, KS. She was always eager to share fond memories of helping her Daddy or riding into town and enjoying a special treat of candy or ice cream. Her heart never healed from the loss of her brother Wayne as a youth and both of her parents as a young woman. Her emotions were moved when speaking of her lost loved ones her entire life.

Carol spent her career in sales and management. "Carol K" as she was known, managed Jewelry Savers in Wichita for many years and eventually Bailey Banks and Biddle in Las Vegas and Chula Vista, CA. She grew weary of retail mgmt.and relocated to Branson, MO and became owner/operator of Carol K's G.U.M Shop(Good Used Merchandise) and was always willing to help those in need. She gave away most profits by donating to those less fortunate. She eventually made her way back to Wichita and after selling real estate for a short while she found her calling caring for the elderly. The rest of her life was spent taking care of 2 couples. She treated them with great care and dignity, giving them an extended life in the comfort of their homes.

Carol believed in Jesus Christ and never feared death, knowing her legacy was an eternity with loved ones she missed so dearly. We thank her for being an example of hard work, love of country and love of family! Well done, good and faithful servant.

We love you Mom!
