GILLIS, BRIAN KEITH , 50, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 in a motorcycle accident when a car pulled out in front of him on highway 254. Brian was born on November 8, 1966 in El Dorado, Kansas to Charles and Barbara Gillis. He was the older twin to his brother Brad. Brian grew up with a love of cars, and cooking; it was a family thing. He was a great mechanic and wonderful cook. He enjoyed making people happy with his recipe ideas and preparing food at his cafe, Charlie G's. Brian loved movies, his Bronco, and his Harley. Riding his Harley was the one thing he really enjoyed. If you knew Brian, you knew he had a huge heart for people. He would help anyone with anything they needed. When you really needed him he was there for you. He never knew a stranger; you were either a "bro" or "sis," he would talk to anyone. If you got on his bad side, he wouldn't mind putting a few knots on your head or busting your lip. Brian was known to be a soft-spoken person with flavorful language; cussing was his native tongue. When his twin brother, Brad, asked him to try not to cuss for one day, Brian replied with "What the Fuck for?" He was a genuine person, he was the real deal.

B rian is survived by his parents Chuck and Susie Gillis; children Dylan, Clay, Jamison, Presley, Tyruzaay, and Isaiah; grandchildren Lana, Logan, and Marshall; siblings Mark Gillis, Mechile(Craig) Davis, Judy(Scott) Banks, and his twin Brad(Lorra) Gillis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Samuel Wade and Hazel Kathleen Gillis, and Charles and Helen Fetters.
