Brandie Lea (Toms) Sprecker passed away on October 20, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center of Wichita, Kansas after a brief stay.  She had traveled the country and settled in her "forever home" in Andover, Kansas with her husband Corey along with their children Jacob, Madeline, Noah, and Oliver.

Brandie was born to Brenda and Doug Toms on July 26, 1977, in Phoenix, Arizona. She spent her childhood growing up in Wittmann, Arizona, attending Nadaburg Elementary in Wittmann and graduating from Centennial High School in Glendale, Arizona.  Shortly after graduation, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and worked at numerous care facilities throughout the Phoenix area. Her favorite patients were those with dementia and Alzheimer's, for whom she showed extraordinary patience and care.  Around this time, she met the love of her life, Corey Sprecker, at a bar in Glendale, Arizona.  Corey was a member of the United States Air Force stationed in Arizona at Luke Air Force Base. Upon first seeing him, she told her friend, "That's the man I'm going to marry."

Brandie was right.  On June 18, 2005, she and Corey were married. Corey brought his son Devin into their family, and eight days after the wedding, Jacob was born. In short order they added Madeline to the family in August of 2006.  In January of 2008, they packed up the family and moved to Anchorage, Alaska. After 3 years, they moved to Langley Air Force Base in Virginia where they stayed for 5 years.  During their time in Virginia, they welcomed Noah to the family in 2012.  Next, they trekked across the country to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where after two years, Corey retired from the Air Force and moved their family to Andover, Kansas. Lastly, Oliver was accepted into and completed their family.

Through all the moves, Brandie was able to make life-long friends, many of whom she talked to on a regular basis.  She had a gift of never knowing a stranger and took the concept of "military family" to a whole different level. Whether it was a neighbor, care-provider, or even someone she met at a school event, she never stopped meeting and befriending new people.  She was generous with her time.  She volunteered with Cub Scouts, watched neighbors' kids, and was always available to talk.  If someone needed to talk, they could give her a call anytime, day or night, and she would answer.

Brandie was preceded in death by her father, Doug Toms.  She is survived by her loving husband Corey; their children Devin, Jacob, Madeline, Noah, and Oliver; her mother Brenda Toms and step-father Larry Edwards; step-mother Kim Toms; brother Brian Toms and his wife Shawna Toms and their children Neil and Ava; sister Emily Edwards; in-laws Gary and Lois Sprecker; in-laws Dustin and Jessica Sprecker and their children Ethan and Dylan; in-laws Doug and Hayley Sprecker and their children Avery, Jackson, and Riley; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A couple of services will be held in her honor. One at Eastminster Presbyterian Church located at 1958 N Webb Rd, Wichita, KS 67206 on 16 Nov 2024 at 1:00 p.m. An additional service will be held in Arizona at a time and place to be determined.
