Graves, Billy Ray, 83 , a man of strong Christian values, passed away November 25, 2018.

V isitation with family will be from 10 AM to service time at 1 PM on Friday, Nov. 30, at Heritage Funeral Home of El Dorado.

H e was born on Dec. 4, 1934, in Seminole, OK., and lived his entire childhood in Seminole.

O n April 26, 1952 he married Deloris L. Hyatt. In 1963 the couple moved to El Dorado, Kansas, where he worked for the gas company for 32 years.

I n his retirement he spent his time mowing the five acres he lived on, something he enjoyed doing. He also spent a lot of time with his good friend Gerald Younker at his auto body shop, drinking coffee and chatting with the guys.  He was a huge animal lover and was eager to help or feed any animal that showed up on his property, including squirrels, raccoons, and birds.

H e is survived by his wife Deloris, son Jared (Audra), daughters Vicki Graves, Angela Sullivan, Marquita (Troy) Pennington, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brothers David Graves, Robert Graves, sisters Bonnie Carter, Bernadine Minter, Ruth Carpenter, Lequita Sheppard, and Sherry Minter.

H e is preceded in death by his parents Cagle Arrow and Vernie Irene Graves, and a brother Jimmy Graves.

I n lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Magnum Fund, Heartland Animal Hospital, 400 N. Woodlawn, Wichita, KS 67220.
