Billy Dale Walton was born on July 8, 1941 in Lahoma, Oklahoma, the son of Elmer (Happy) Walton and June Iris Walton, née Allen. Bill embraced his heavenly family on June 22, 2018, at the age of 76 years.

Bill spent his youth in the Lahoma community, graduating from high school in 1959 where he excelled in baseball and basketball. He married his soulmate Connie Jantz in 1963, a union that lasted for 55 years. He worked for the Enid Publishing Company for 20 years before moving to El Dorado, Kansas in 1983. He worked for the El Dorado Times for several years before pursuing his passion as an artist full time, opening his own art gallery in downtown El Dorado for 17 years.

Bill will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication and talent for his artwork, his fondness of animals, and his athletic ability. He was an avid sports fan, living and breathing everything about the New York Yankees.
