Shaffer, Betty Jo, 90, passed away November 24, 2018. She was born to James Riley Edwards and Dora Edwards in Solomon, OK on February 29, 1929. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Tues., Nov. 27, 2018 at Walnut Valley Cemetery in El Dorado.

S he is preceded in death by her husband, William Shaffer, Jr., and siblings Vessie Edwards, Raymond Edwards, Enoch Edwards, Albert Edwards, Fred Edwards, Rosie Wheeler, Zelma Stebbens, Gladys Payton, and Lois Brown.
Betty Jo is survived by son Lyle (Cathy) Shaffer of Latham, KS; daughter Jolene (Bob) Woodard of Leon, KS; grandchildren Trent (Celia) Woodard of Wichita; Brian Woodard of Colorado Springs, CO; Tyler (Amy) Woodard of Augusta, KS; Becky (Scott) Stewart of Mulvane, KS; Betsy (Blake) Hartje of Fitchburg, WI; Jacob (Blayne) Shaffer of Caney, KS; Tim (Keera) Ketterman of Dallas, TX; Sara (Allen) Lonas of Hot Springs Village, AR; great grandchildren Tanner Woodard, Conner Woodard, Cameron Woodard, Kirsten Woodard, Landen Stewart, Luke Stewart, Grant Hartje, Claire Hartje, Emma Lonas, Kate Lonas, Karsyn Shaffer, and Sawyer Shaffer, and great great grandson Will Stewart.
