GUTZMER, BETTY JEAN, 92  , left her earthly home on Thursday, October 19, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born March 5, 1931 in Daykin, NE to Rollin and Katherine (Broeder) Forney. Betty taught school in Nebraska in a one room schoolhouse before moving to Kansas. Betty worked at Boeing and later retired from Kmart in 1981. 

 Betty was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Gutzmer; parents Rollin and Katherine and granddaughter Angela Colling. Survivors include daughters Kathie Reed(Ron), Tulsa, OK, Jayne Colling(Tim), Venice, FL; son Douglas Gutzmer(Christy), Derby, KS; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and  2 great-great grandchildren. 

 Memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church 324 N. Baltimore Ave., Derby, KS at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 324 N. Baltimore Ave., Derby, KS 67037.
