RUTH, BENJAMIN PATRICK "BEN", 30, passed away at his home in Towanda. Ben was born in Wichita on November 9, 1989 to Roger and Karen "Wright" Ruth. He married Rachel Bilson on August 2, 2014 in Towanda, KS. Ben loved dirt bikes and 4wheelers from an early age; he got his first at 6; and enjoyed them even more with his own children. He enjoyed working on anything that moved, especially cars, and was always willing to help anybody if he could. His greatest achievement, joy and love was his children, and he would move mountains for them; even going so far as getting a personal petting zoo for his that included llamas, emus, sheep, a chicken nicknamed "McNugget", pigs(one that they called "Bacon") and anything else his kids wanted.

B en is survived by his children Payton and Ryan; wife Rachel; parents Karen Weimer(Randy) and Roger Ruth(Denise); brother Brandon Ruth(Lacy) and their children Isabella and Jaxon; grandmother Mary Wright; cousins Keith Wright(Jessica), Kyle Wright(Jessica), Justin Wright, Jessica Giesen(Preston), Josie Blackmore(Ethan) and Jamie Hill(Lucas); aunts and uncles Kelly Wright(Lynne) and Kevin Wright(Marsha) and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Francis and Thelma Ruth and most recently his maternal grandfather Gerold Wright.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 206 E. Central Ave., El Dorado. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2019 at The Benton Church, 14300 SW 20th St., Benton, KS with interment to follow at Benton Cemetery.

I n lieu of flowers the family has requested donations for Ben's children's education to the Ruth Children Education Fund c/o Vintage Bank in Benton.
