ANNA "JANIE" JANE {CARPENTER} DANIELS, 83 , was born to George Elmer and Ethel Mary (Thorburn) Carpenter in Nevada, Missouri on March 23, 1939, Anna attended grade school in Nevada before the family moved to Fort Scott and later El Dorado.. She attended high school in El Dorado, but got married and had kids before getting her G.E.D. in 1983. She was extremely busy raising her four children: George, Johnny, Yvonne, and Nick. As far as work goes, First a Gulf gas station was family owned, then Janies Antiques. She helped her son at Gizmos, and worked variously at Revco, Ace, and Graves Drug Store, all the while caring for her children and step-children.

After her kids were raised, Janie enjoyed traveling and vacationing, which gave her a chance to "get away from it all" for a few days. Additionally, she enjoyed the TV show, "Everybody Loves Raymond." Janie was involved with her church her entire life, and taught Sunday school at Prospect Baptist Church for a time.. She was caring, loving, and giving of herself and her time, and always believed people should help each other.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 1:00 PM at First Southern Baptist of El Dorado, 200 Oil Hill Rd. Interment will follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery, also in El Dorado.
