Ploy, Amboo Wolfgang, 72, passed away July 10, 2022 in El Dorado, surrounded by his wife and family.
A mboo was born to Robert "Hap" and Patti Ward in El Dorado, KS on June 23, 1950. He was raised in El Dorado and moved to Wichita, where he graduated from East High School in 1969. He married the love of his life, Tannis, on July 4, 1995.
A mboo was a man of many talents. He loved and served his community for many years. His love for people, music and art was unsurpassed, and his love was returned by a lifetime of friends. He often organized fundraisers for those who needed a helping hand, and his art could be found in homes, storefronts, museums and numerous art shows. Amboo was a devoted family man that was loved deeply by all. He was also a warrior, who endured and showed his strength through many adversities.
H e is survived by wife Tannis Ploy, brother Robert (Diane) Ward, sister Pamela Johnson, daughters Nicole Ward and Angela Ward, stepdaughter Sarah (Chris) Coiner, stepson Brian Shipman, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepson Jason Shipman, grandson Kendryck Ward, and brother-in-law Dennis Johnson.
A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at the Cardinal Creek Farm on Saturday, July 23 at 1:00 PM .
