Amanda Beth Howard was born to Betha (Dumler) Howard and Tom Howard in San Antonio, Texas on June 18, 1978. All right, writing your own obituary is weird enough; writing about yourself in the third person is too much. I am reluctantly leaving behind my tremendous parents, three terrific brothers, one sister-in-law, two marvelous nephews, a plethora of amazing friends, and two delightful cats to comfort and annoy my mother. I sadly lost another sister-in-law in March 2025.

I got a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's in Communications and built a pretty comfortable career in comms. I've been to three continents, five countries, and all but maybe three US states (including living in six of them).

I think it's weird that people give money for dead people, but if you feel you must, please skip the flowers and send a couple bucks to your local library, humane society, Planned Parenthood, or ALS Association Chapter.

A Remembrance of Amanda will be held Saturday, July 26 from 11:00 to 2:00 at the Andover Public Library, 1511 E. Central Avenue, Andover, Kansas. Food, drink, laughter, and memories will be available
